A statement issued by the General Secretary of the Palestinian Democratic Youth Union "PDYU"
On the occasion of the Palestinian
Prisoners Day.
The prisoners are not numbers, but the title of our long national struggle
On April 17th every year marks the Palestinian Prisoner's Day, which is a national and international day in support of the Palestinian prisoners in the prisons of the Israeli occupation, which was approved by the Palestinian National Council as the supreme authority of the Palestine Liberation Organization “PLO” in 1974 AD. This year, the occasion comes in light of the spread of the Corona epidemic, and its Ramifications, which negatively reflected on various aspects of the daily life of all humankind, especially in terms of loss of life, and the high number of deaths, as a result of employing the Corona virus in the economic war between the imperialist powers, and the vaccine war as well, And use it as a weapon of global political blackmail, and a source of capital accumulation for associated pharmaceutical companies which directly connected to the global imperialism
Which also directly reflected on the Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli occupation prisons, whose number is approximately (5000) prisoners of different age , including children, women and elderly ..
We also affirm in the General Secretary of “PDYU”, that the Palestinian people will not reside and will not stop their struggle until the establishment of their independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with its Capital Jerusalem, and the return of Palestinian refugees in accordance to the United Nations Resolution 194, and the release of the last Palestinian prisoner.
Freedom for the Palestinian prisoners
Long live Palestine .
Long live international solidarity between struggling peoples .
