Today marks the 41 st martyrdom anniversary of comrade Nazir abbasi.he was tortured to death on 9th August 1980 at Maripur military camp.
On his initiative, several progressive student organizations merged to revive the Democratic Students Federation (DSF) though Comrade Nazeer was tortured to death even before the formal announcement of DSF. He was picked up from Karachi by Law enforcement agencies in July 1980. He was severely tortured for many days, this all could not break his soul but sadly his body couldn’t sustain the inhumane torture and Comrade Nazeer Abbasi embraced martyrdom on 9th August 1980. Even his body was not handed over to his family and he was quietly buried at the Sakhi Hasan graveyard. Witnesses (EDHI) who saw his body testified, “He seemed to have been through extreme torture, there were torture marks and signs of shattered bones.”
Today he may not be physically present among us but his ideology leads us in the struggle for the salvation of the oppressed.
We pay tribute to geat communist revolutionary comrade Nazir Abbasi Shaheed on his 41 death anniversary. Comrade Abbassi was arrested by the FIU Field Intelligence Unit of Pakistan Army's Brigadier Imtiaz Billa from Karachi on July 30, he was savagely tortured by the fascist regime of military dictator General Zia ( one of the founders of Islamic fundamentalism and so-called Mujaheddin in Pakistan), and was murdered on 9th august 1980. But the fascist regime of brutal anti-communist military dictator general Zia has been erased from the pages of history and comrade Abbasssi's immortal cause and contribution to the communist movement live on! Comrade Nazir Abassi's path is our path. Long live the revolution. Long live communist party of PAKISTAN Long live working-class movement. Down with imperialism.!!
