Lula da Silva, the president of the left-wing Workers' Party, defeated the neoliberal fascist Bol Sanaro in the Brazilian election with a majority of 51% of the vote. He has been a very popular president. During his presidency, Brazil played a leading role in the global war against social reform and environmental pollution. It is hoped that its success will strengthen not only Brazil but Latin America and South American people in their resistance and struggle against neoliberal fascism.
