Statement by the Coalition to Ban the Development and Proliferation of Biological Weapons

New facts of biological weapons development revealed in Kazakhstan
In the current situation of aggravation of relations between the leading powers, the threat of the use of various types of weapons, including biological weapons, which are accumulated and developed by the US military, is increasing. Such a hotbed of future conflict between the United States, China and Russia may be Central Asia and Kazakhstan, where the US Pentagon has a network of military biological laboratories and local research institutes.
The coalition informs the world community and the communist and workers ' parties that in Kazakhstan, on the basis of the Research Institute for Biological Security Problems and with the involvement of the Central Reference Laboratory in Almaty (CRL), built with the money of the US Department of Defense, research is being conducted under the Pentagon program called "Camels as biosurveillance sentinels: Risk at the human-camel interface", which means "Camels as watchdogs: the risk of transmission of viruses from camel to man". The object of study is camels as natural carriers of a number of diseases.
At the same time, in addition to the Kazakhstan Research Institute and CRL, the project under the leadership of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) also involves the Institute of Biosafety Problems of Tajikistan, the University of California at Davis from the United States, the Naval Medical Research Center from the United States and the Duke-Noosa School of Medicine from Singapore. These works are a continuation of the project of the Research Institute of Biological Safety Problems of Kazakhstan and American scientists within the framework of DTRA on the study of the Middle East respiratory coronavirus in bats and camels, which was already partially implemented in Kazakhstan in 2016-2018.
At the same time, all the work of Kazakhstani scientists and specialists working in this Research Institute and CRL is under the full control and management of the US Air Force officer, who is also the head of the Center for Disease Control (CDC) The United States in Central Asia. At the moment, their efforts are aimed at finalizing the previously achieved results in order to create already combat substances, as well as to study the possibility of transferring other equally dangerous diseases through camels.
For this area, camels become convenient containers for the delivery of biological weapons, which can easily be disguised as natural outbreaks and epidemics. Moreover, these animals are a reservoir for the Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV). In addition, camels are known to be reservoirs of several "selected agents", including: Crimean-Congo-hemorrhagic fever (hCG), tick-borne encephalitis virus (TBEV), and Coxiella burnetii (the bacterium that causes Q-fever).
Now, American military biologists, with the support and participation of Kazakh scientists, are working on the entire range of potential transmitted viruses with the help of camels, which can be used against the main opponents of the United States-Russia and China, which border Kazakhstan. Today, there are more than 200 thousand heads of these large animals in the republic, which are sold and migrate to neighboring countries.
In the neighboring Xinjiang Uyghur region (XUAR) and in Inner Mongolia, camels are also bred in large numbers. The mass death of livestock and the transmission of diseases from animals to humans can provoke the actions of Uighurs, Kazakhs, Mongols and other national minorities, who are engaged in animal husbandry in these regions of the PRC. The US political leadership has repeatedly stated that it wants to" liberate " these peoples.
All statements by Kazakh officials that these military biological facilities serve peaceful purposes do not stand up to criticism, as they have done nothing to counter the Covid-19 pandemic. In the event of the use of such weapons or the leakage of dangerous diseases from laboratories, Central Asia will be a region of humanitarian disaster. Moreover, the health care system, undermined by market reforms and privatization, is not able to cope with the current coronavirus.
The activities of these institutions are not transparent and the authorities of Kazakhstan refused last year to allow scientists from Russia and China to exercise control over the research.
After the appearance of these facts, we demand the admission of international observers of the World Health Organization (WHO) and representatives of all interested countries to military biological facilities in Kazakhstan, working under the programs of the Pentagon.
Moreover, we demand the complete closure of the Central Reference Laboratory in Almaty, the termination and curtailment of all projects in the Research Institute of Kazakhstan funded by the US Department of Defense. This threat to all of humanity must be eliminated immediately.
We inform the Solidnet parties with this statement about this threat from imperialism in this part of the world and hope for support.
