The message sent to CPIM and CPI
Dear Comrades,
The communist Party of Pakistan expresses its solidarity with the people of India and particularly the people suffering from Covid-19 and the pain and hardship the current deadly Covid pandemic has brought to nearly every Indian family from the loss of their loved ones .
The people of Pakistan are feeling the pain and with our very deep cultural and historical bonds we feel the same sorrow and stand firm with the people of India.
At a time when the world is offering vaccine to its citizen in most of the countries the wealthy nations has vaccinated the majority of its citizen and the pandemic figures are improving but on the other hand the poor countries are struggling to get the vaccine for its citizen.The vaccine produced and its distribution regulated by the western countries and US is on priority basis available only in their own countries and the asymmetries that in some countries more than 50% of population is vaccinated on other hand the poor countries in Asia and Africa but also some countries in Europe are struggling to get some vaccine for its people.
The European and US are approving only vaccines produced in their countries and although the Russian and Chinese vaccines are as effective as the others have not been given yet the approval to be used either by US FDA or European EMA.
At this time of pandemic when the human lives are at risk and millions have already lost their lives it is shameful that the politics are still done without taking into consideration the loss of life every day.
The Indian covid tragedy is still unfolding.
It is irresponsible on part of the WHO and the Vaccine producer countries but also of the respective governments that they didn’t put in place mechanisms to have a world wide uniform program of vaccination for Covid 19.
Let's together raise our voice that the vaccine is available to everyone and its production is available in every county where the facility is available with no restrictions.
Once again in this hour of hardship and suffering we are standing with shoulder to shoulder with our Indian comrades and people.
